Irda — ajay shastri - deputy director

Need help:
Does anyone know a ajay shastri, claiming as deputy director from irda. He has an assistant - arjun singh who is seeking a deposit in hsbc, dmat account of rs 50k before they return funds. Does such a deposit make sense. I think it is fraud, but seeking confirmation from others who may have been scammed like this.

I am wondering if such a think has happened to others where irda calls them out on their own without filing any complaint to them. How do they find out if someone has gone thru a fraud situation.
