Irda — reimbursement of a claim of health insurance | |||
The following claim was submitted immediate after i was discharged from one of the reputed hospitals in dombivali. However even after my continuous follow-ups on phone and emails with tpa and uiic, they are not responding to my communications. I am putting the date wise details of my claim status for your kind perusal and to help me in this regards as i am a 65 years retired person having no income source to afford such delays in getting my money. File no. 20181227b016rh09355 Date of submission of the claim papers 4th january, 2019 Date of claim received by medsave, mumbai 5th january, 2019 Query raised by doctors 24th january, 2019 Query generated and informed to claimant 4th february, 2019 (After 10 days, after continuous follow-ups on daily basis on phone and emails) Documents submitted as per query 5th february, 2019 Claim is not yet settled as of 20th february, 2019-after 45 days of submission the claim and after 15 days of submission of certificates as per query. I am not able to give all the details of the correspondences of phone calls and emails. This is the example of total negligence • it was very strange that doctors asking for registration certificate of a hospital and photo id of a patient instead of going thru technical aspects like ‘line of treatment and medicines.
