[Resolved] Ixigo — ticket cancellation due to unusual feature of ixigo app. | |
Hello my name is dr kishore m s. I had booked a indigo flight ticket via ixigo and cheap ticket, for 4 persons (Raipur to bangalore, booking id 9256405) ticket was non refundable. Few days later i wanted to check if partial cancellation for one person was possible. I visited my bookings page and clicked on cancel, thinking next page would give me details, as it is the usual feature in almost all online apps. Soon after i returned to main page thinking i'll contact customer care. Whereas my whole ticket got cancelled with a refund of just rs. 1200 (Approx). I accidentally came to know about this cancellation only a week later via mail. My complaint is that booking got cancelled in just one step without giving details of the cancellation. So i demand a re booking of my tickets or a refund. Clear trip and indigo airlines blame ixigo saying it is their app through which ticket was cancelled. Ixigo official said i need to give proof that it got cancelled in just one step. For which ill have to book one more ticket and cancel it and record it, incurring loss of some more money. Verified Support Nov 15, 2018 Ixigo Customer Care's response Dear Kishore, Greetings from ixigo We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We have shared the booking logs with you which reflect the cancellation was done from your end only and a confirmation message with cancellation charges was also shown. When ever cancel button is clicked, your confirmation is always taken and ticket is cancelled only when "Yes" is selected. We completely understand that you mistakenly ended up cancelling the ticket however, we'd appreciate your understanding on the fact that ixigo doesn't charge any fee for either booking or cancellation. As we could not find any glitch with booking, we are unable to escalate your concern to the service provider Cheapticket.in asking them to process full refund or re-issue ticket. We have also made a video of the cancellation process as informed to you over email where we are still awaiting your revert. Please reply to the email so that we can share the video with you.
