Sir,
I am introducing myself as the proprietor of progressive enterprise. I have been cheated by a well known advertising company, just dial through its representative.in the middle of the january one ms. Rajashree dey rang me and offer me for the registration of my firm with just dial for the advertisement of my firm through their company. She requested me for an appointment with their (Your) representative so that he could explain me how just dial works and how my firm would be benefited if tied up with just dial. She also told me that the representative would explain me the procedure of the dealing. I fixed a time accordingly for next day.
Issue no.1
The representative of just dial mr. Subhankar dutta came to my office. He informed me about the “package” and explained me how it works. He told me that price of this package for one year was around rs.25, 000/-. I could not remember the exact amount right now. But i told him it was quite expensive for me and being a small entrepreneur i could not afford such an amount.
Then he offered me to go for a lower amount of rs.6, 900/- for only three months, against which i had to pay rs.2, 300/- per month. He suggested me to consider these three months as a trial run and if i get business out of their leads from these three months and it satisfies me then i could continue the same for next nine months. To me this suggestion was seem to be viable and logical. Mr subhankar told me that to avail that offer i had to give him a cancelled cheque for starting ecs for those three months along with another cheque of rs.6, 900/-. When i asked him why they take that cheque of rs.6900/- once i was giving him the cancelled cheque for ecs, he replied “it is taken as a security cheque and if you don’t have sufficient amount in your account and the ecs bounces then the security cheque will be encashed against the charges of those three months”.
On 28.01.2017 in the morning mr. Subhankar dutta came to my residence at behala, took a cancelled cheque and a cheque of rs.6, 900/- from the current account of my firm progressive enterprise. I got a “customer receipt” vide no.[protected]. I was told that i would receive an invoice through e-mail later from just dial. That very day i got an e-mail from just dial confirming that my firm “progressive enterprise” has been listed with justdial.com. (Copy attached)
On 31/01/2017 i got an e-mail from an e-mail id “[protected]@justdial.com” (Copy attached) the matter was as under:

“this has reference to your auto renewal monthly contract in the name of (... Blank...)
Thank you for the advance amount of rs 6899.[protected] & monthly ecs amount of rs 2300
Please note, within 21 to 60 days of signing contract, the first ecs of rs 2300 will hit your bank account.
Subsequently every monthly around the same time the next ecs would hit your account.
The advance amount will be adjusted against your tenure.
For any further queries, please contact customer support at [protected].”
First of all, i did not give that representative of just dial rs.6899.[protected], it was only rs.6, 900/- and was paid by cheque.
Second thing, the cheque of rs.6, 900/- was taken from me as a security cheque not as an advance. That cheque was supposed to be liquidated against the non clearance of all three ecs. But after few days when i got the bank statement it was observed with great surprise that that cheque of rs.6, 900/- was liquidated and at the same time they started to debit my account by rs.2, 300/- per month by ecs!
Next is more offensive. As they wrote above –“within 21 to 60 days of signing contract...” there was no such incident of “signing of contract”. Just dial didn’t send me any contract / agreement paper as hard copy or soft copy for my signing. Just dial provided a link named “terms of service” through one of their e-mails from where i got a write up on the terms of service.in the last point, point no.29, it is clearly written that “the contract is executed in duplicate and the advertiser has retained a carbon copy of this contract, both copies constitute one and the same contract.” but in my case nothing happened in this manner as i told you above.

I wrote several times to the kolkata office of just dial through e-mail at [protected]@justdial.com and wanted to know since as per their proposal / commitment i went for a three months trial run and it would cost only rs.2, 300/- per month, then why they have encashed the cheque of rs.6, 900/- when it was taken as a security cheque. Security cheque is to be liquidated only when party fails to pay the monthly instalment. More over they treat the amount as an advance! Why such type of cheap & mis-selling is observed from a widely known company like just dial?
Surprisingly each and every time i received a reply like “our processes are currently undergoing changes. Therefore, if you have any query regarding your contract, we would request you to kindly visit the below link and register your query here.” the “link” provides a very small space to lodge a complaint. Sir, just for checking, if you write to this mail id you will certainly receive a same reply.
In the mean time one mr. Satya narayan shaw rang me from [protected] and wanted to know the feedback about the deal with just dial. I told that gentleman regarding this unwanted incidence. He told me clearly that there is no system of such type of three months dealing. The package executes at least for one year and nothing less than that.
Then on 29/03/2017 i lodged a complaint through email to just dial’s two mailing address – [protected]@justdial.com & [protected]@justdial.com. (Copy attached)
On 29th march, in the morning around 11am mr avinaba samaddar, customer service executive, just dial rang me from his office (Ph. No.[protected] and wanted to know about my grievance as i complained against their misselling. After listening in detail, mr samaddar told me that some one from his office would talk to me regarding this matter. He also mailed me and advised me to share various sites and links to clear my “query”. I clearly replied him to treat my mail as “grievance” not as a “query”.
After some days one person from just dial kolkata rang me and wanted to know about my grievance. I told him everything what happened to me. That person told me that there is no such system/ package in just dial which is less than a tenour of 1 year. He took that sales manager on conference. The sales manager was denying his 3 months proposal and he was blaming me that i could not understand his proposal. When i asked them about the contract which we supposed to sign, the other person who rang me that the receipt is all about that contract as the terms & conditions were written at the back side of that small paper. I was surprised and checked the receipt and first time i noticed those terms & conditions on it. It was clearly mentioned there that the advertisers have to give a 3 months prior notice to stop the ecs.
Issue no.2
Initially just dial was forwarding me the telephone numbers of different labours / mistiris who were searching for their job under the contractors. After lodging complaint against such type of leads over the phone this type of practices were stopped. But now surprisingly, more than 95% of the leads are peculiar in style. Almost in every cases either it is said that“this user prefers to be reached via email and searched for your business related categories on justdial's website / mobile.”
Or it is written “this user searched for your business related categories on justdial's website / mobile. You may click on the link below if you wish to communicate with the user.”

There is no way to interact directly with the customers as well as know their requirements. A phone number like 98*789 is shown on the lead which is useless/ worthless. Some time the leads begin with name or sometime even without name. Out of 100 around 4/5 leads consist of phone numbers. (Copy attached)
It is clearly understood that it is just dial’s business strategy to make people fool and earn money by unfair means. I believe some people may not like to provide their phone no. S to avoid continuous call from the vendors/ parties. But that doesn’t mean they take the chance and supply all the rubbish / fake leads against my money. All most in each & every case i have to submit a write-up when i get any e-mail from their lead and when there is no phone number, no e-mail id i have to use their above mentioned link where not more than 160 characters are allowed. And till this date not a single customer responses to my mail nor to our phone numbers. From this i doubt that using their huge database just dial is making fool their customers.
Sir, just try to understand the game is playing by just dial. The cunning trick is lying behind the amount of rs.6, 900/-. They are placing an offer /option of 3 (Three) months duration before the party who are not interested to go for one year and spend the amount what just dial fixed for that full tenour. Instead they offer a false proposal of three months ecs system and take a cheque of rs.6, 900/-, claiming it as a security cheque. Like me, on good faith, the customers are being trapped. Ecs starts, the cheque of rs.6, 900/- is encashed, an overall rs.9, 200/- is debited from the account of the customers at the very beginning of the “deal”. Once trapped, the customers can not retreat from this position.
I want to stop this ecs and get return my amount of rs.6, 900/-. Please advise me.
Sir, please take a strong action against just dial so that, in future, they can not cheat the consumers / customers and can not play with the money of small entrepreneurs like us.

Ref. of my previous complaint Justdial.com - Misselling & Cheating Just Dial E-mail Address: [email protected]; [email protected]; Just Dial Ph.No.033-7941-4750, 033-30641500, On 01/04/2017 one gentle man rang me from Ph.No.033-79414750 & wanted to know my grievance, took the Sales Manager on conference who gave me the offer for 3 months' Trial Run. The Sales Manager was denying everything. When I raised the point that why no agreement was signed since as per their e-mail one agreement should be signed, they tried to establish since then that the Money Receipt itself is an agreement as the Terms & Conditions are printed backside of the receipt. The Sales Manager cleverly hided that thing & didn't tale me at the time of giving me that Receipt. My issues are two. One is the representative told me it's a 3 months trial run & for that he needed 1 cancelled cheque & a Security Chq of Rs.6900/- which would be liquidated if 3 ECS fail. But now they are claiming it's an advance amount not a security chq. Another issue is false leads provided by Just Dial. around 95% Leads dont have Phone No. few of them e-mail id and for rest Just Dial Provide a Link. for both the cases I don't get any chance to interact with customer directly. And not a single customer reply against my mail. Today one lady rang me from 033-30641500 and tried to establish that fault is mine and they can do nothing to solve this problem.
