Hi. My name is vidhyasagar. I was travelling from mysore to Bangalore in KSRTC bus like rajahamsa kind of bus. I bought 2 tickets from the conductor. Total amount is 440 and I have him 500rs and he gave me the ticket and balance amount he said he will give later and marked 60rs balance amount in back side of the ticket. After a rest stop, I asked the balance amount so he asked me to show me the ticket to check for the balance amount. But unfortunately I lost my ticket somewhere in the rest stop . So I told him that I have lost my ticket. He asked me to buy new 2 tickets. I said sir, I lost my ticket can you give me a copy of my ticket . He said no we can't provide that you must buy new ticket only. So after all then I bought 2 new tickets. My question is conductors are using the print device for printing the ticket. So why can't they make a copy for a passenger because conductor knows that I have bought a ticket . Before starting the bus itself the conductor gave us a ticket. If they are using the print machine means why can't they provide a copy of a ticket. Obviously they will be having a database where the entry of each ticket will be stored in the machine . So as a passenger I have rights to ask this that if a conductor is providing a machine printed ticket means they must include the phone number along with that. So if the passenger lost his /her ticket by searching with the phone number they should provide a copy so that will be like a passenger friendly. Then why they are using the machine for printing the ticket. They could have given the normal color paper tickets for this . The technology has improved more so that they are using the printer device for providing ticket. So there must be a database where they can have a count of tickets / amount was driven for a day . So this is not at all fair for asking a passenger to buy a new ticket . Kindly note this concern. That's why the online ticket booking is the best when compared to buying the ticket in buses. That is why many people are reaching out to red bus or online reservation so that if they have lost their hardcopy then they can refer to the softcopy . Was this information helpful? |
