[Resolved]  Karvy — demat account address updation is one big hell

This is regarding the updation of address of a demat account held with karvy.
The address proof was submitted long back in october 2017 but even now, as of 28th of march 2018, the address remains to be the older one. When we call the customer care or the concerned officer responsible for kyc/updation of client details, he says it is done, but when we request the individual companies or the karvy about missing dividends, they bring up an old address and say that is the address in the system.
This shows how professional and customer-focussed the staff at the company are. They immediately respond when we deposit a cheque and update us within a few hours, but when we ask for something as simple as updation of address or bank details by providing all the proofs, they behave as if they are selling their assets away or losing precious gems.
For the past several months, so many mails went to and fro between us and karvy but the end result always remains a big ZERO.
The irony is that online profile(at karvyonline.com) address shows up as correct one but the statement shows up an outdated address due to which huge sums of money are getting lost in the form of cheques and getting returned to the company in which we have shares.
Another important point to note: The staff mislead us to believe that in order to get the dividends, we need to deposit 5000 in our account using which they will buy some shares and need to trade at least 1 share every few months, which is pure nonsense. Demat account is not dependent on trading account in anyway.
