Myself Sudev, booked a Tiago (white color) on 4th of June (as per records 8th June) and received a verbal confirmation from the seller that, I will be getting the delivery within 2 months. I started calling the seller from 10th weeks onwards and started receiving replies "not yet". Finally by end of two months I got a verbal confirmation that car is in "Transit and will take another 4-5 working days". This was during the end of July'16.

This drama continued till 16th of August, and I got a call on this day mentioning that car is available at the show room. So I asked the seller to share the account details so that I can transfer the money .Next 3 days I had to follow up continuously for the account number but the result was till 20th morning, I did not get the same. Finally I decided to walk-in to the show room and the seller as usual was not available there. After waiting for next 30 minutes, seller turned up and he told 'sir, I have shared the account number '".I just checked my email then and there, but as expected it was not available. Next set of conversations for better readability-

Myself : I have not received it till now
Seller: Oh.k. I will take a printout and give you sir.
Myself : Ok.np. Could you please tell me by when I can expect the delivery?
Seller: Sir, car is in transit
Myself : ?????? what, you mentioned to me on 16th that car is available
Seller: No sir. It is in transit. (chasis number was different sir)
Some set of arguments, Finally I gave up .
Myself: Ok, So when it is going to come ?
Seller: 4-5 days sir.
Myself: So can i expect it to be available in show room by 23rd?
Seller: Yes sir, Sure sir
Myself: Ok, please do it
Seller: sir, you have something planned for this weekend?
Myself: (Blank)
Seller: I will try sir
Myself : Please confirm.
Seller: Yes, sir
Finally I went back.

I called him once again on 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th and got the same reply, Its in transit Sir. Yes. I gave up now.

Finally I called up the manager on 27th and he told me a different story. That, the car was available on 16th and then "while unloading' some issues happened and they had to sent it back to factory !!!

Next set of conversations

Myself : (Frustrated) Ok, finally by when I can get it
Manager : Next monday we are doing invoicing .please wait till then sir
Myself: Ok
Call on next monday :

Myself : Hello, so any confirmation?
Manager: yes, you can get the vehicle by 12th or 13th
Myself: Ok. Please cancel the booking as I was planning to get this by 9th maximum as otherwise no use for it (Reason being I was planning to travel to native on 10th for a festival and I need the vehicle for some personal reasons in native)
Manager: Oh.k. Are you ok with any other colour?
Myself : (frustrated). Ok. except blue or silver, I am fine with any other color
After 15 minutes
Manager: Sir, we have red, is that fine?
Myself : Yes, pls. by when can I get it ?
Manager : 6th or 7th September

Call on 6th September

Myself : can I get the delivery tomorrow.
Manager: Definitely sir.
Myself : (Relaxed), Thanks.

Call on 7th September

Tried calling manager : mobile switched off
Next call to Seller
Myself: Can i come today and collect the car
Seller: No sir
Myself: What?
Seller: Blah..blah (seriously, I dont remember)
Myself: Ok. Let me talk with Manager

Call to Manager (Finally got connected)
Myself at 5, 50PM: Can i come today
Manager: Yes, pls. I will make the arrangements
Disconnect:

Call from Seller at 6.00PM (In bw I started from office and on the way to showroom)
Seller: Sir, delivery is tomorrow
Myself: what, manager told me I can come now
Seller: No sir. Manager telling tomorrow as registration is not completed
Myself : (blank)... disconnected
Tried reaching Manager : SWITCHED OFF
Messaged: SMS got delivered after 10 minutes
From then till now, I have called him 32 times (yes, 32 times). 70% of the time switched off and the other 30% busy. and never called back till now

6.30 PM:

Myself : Wasted my time travelling in Bangalore traffic- booked a cab to reach fast, effort, money, mental stress and what not !!

And from showroom front desk, I came to know that "seller" was on leave today and manager is in meeting from morning

My question is -

If someone is not sure, how can they commit something
What is the point in telling false information to customer instead of telling the truth (I still have not believed unloading story )
