Kotak Mahindra Bank — credit card harassment and threatening | |
Kotak mahindra experience - email id - [protected]@gmail.com Card number: [protected] Hi, this is my journey with kotak mahindra. I am using this account for a long time, i initially had a salary account with saving account and later i got an option to take credit card from kotak with a limit of 16k. I purchased a mobile phone and cleared all the dues everything went fine till this stage. I used the card and paid the minimum amount, i never checked statements nothing i simply opened the app and paid the amount. What else can a person do when he didn't know anything about credit card and how it works, because none explained things all i was asked to do was sign.. I paid and made regular payments used card and this happened for at least 2 to 3 years.. I trusted kotak so i never went back checking for the statements, i made payments on time without any miss.. The moment i got my salary, first thing i did was credit payment.. You will get to know this when you would see my transactions. After years i see that my die amount is same and not reducing, i convinced myself saying that it is because of my usage may be... I just kept paying and using the card. Even after making the payments on time, i got calls from kotak for payments... Everytime i used to inform them that i'll make the payment when i'll get my salary.in a day i use to get like 5-6 calls for the payments like after mid month everyday i got calls for payment and all the time i attended calls and told them same thing all over again... It is frustrating for a person to attend calls multiple times and tell them same thing all over again... I use to get call at 7 am, they don't see time they just called for payment, this was very upsetting for me.. I use to be in important sessions and meetings and kotak guys call me... Even after paying on time i had to face such inconvenience from kotak... I wanted to complain about this, i asked for a supervisors on call they disconnected the call with sarcastic and threatening statements. This happened for few months.. It was soo much frustrating for me... I was loosing my patience. This continuedâ¦. For some reason i checked the statement once on the app before making the payment i saw an amount charged with said excess usage... I got to know about this charge like 7-8 months back (When i last made my payment). Till this time i didn't even know that i can use the card beyond the limit i always thought that i can only use the card only till my limit... I saw this charge and alot of charges where applied for me from a long time.. I got calls from kotak, i asked for a statement from start to till date so that i get clarity.. Everyone promised but none send statement⦠One fine day i got a call from a kotak employee who said that he is from kotak mg road branch.. I thought, this person was the right one to talk to... So i explained everything... This person promise to send the statement to me, as usual nothing happened... Every month from there on i got calls from kotak mg road everyone just said we will send statement no one did... I do have call recordings too⦠after few months one manager again from mg road branch called, i was frustrated with these guys i just told on call "i do not like your # service, its pathetic because no one is there to help, you promise but do nothing". Just for that one word "#", ge started abusing me and spoke # about my parents too, i just kept quite and tried making him understand, because the person on the call sounded like an old man.. I apologized and explained things again from the scratch (This was like the 4th or 5th time i am explaining). At the end he said i will send u statement took my email id and contact number and promised that he will follow up with my case and will get to a settlement of 10-15 k, i agreed and told once i get complete clarity i will make the payment... I told don't have problem in paying it's just that i wanted clarity.. As usual this person didn't turn up nor an email was sent to me⦠I got a call again from another employee next month i told i have explained and there's someone who is working on it.. They said ok we will check.. No one turned up This happened for few months⦠2 months back i got a call from a manager and when i asked for the statement he started abusing me like so much #, he was threatening me on call that he will come and take me along with me.. I was really unethical and unprofessional. All this while kotak promised me to share the statement now these guys say, " don't talk about the past now, i don't want to know what happened to you who promised what, i just need payment" i get calls and they are threatening me alot⦠i feel insecure for the calls and the way they talk... They say we will track u down follow u and talk so much # about my parents⦠No one heard and understand from my end all they know is mentally harassing people and threatening them. Its so much upsetting for me.. I had so many other things to do instead of attending kotak calls.. I lost my job too just because i was disturbed by the calls. And now because of kotak i was rejected by a company as the cibil score is screwed⦠No one till date tried resolving my issue... Today i am jobless because of kotak.. My family so many other issues and financially hampered... Kotak must understand that i was one of the source of income at my home, today i am jobless with no money.. I skip my meals and eat once a day because i am jobless⦠nothing worse can happen to a person than this. These guys left me with nothing but depression...
