[Resolved] Lady Harding Hospital — Medical interns and junior staff misbehaving with patients | |||
My sister is admitted in one of the oldest and reputed Govt Hospitals of Delhi, at least that is what the impression i had until this morning when i visited her and found the Medical interns not more than 21 years old misbehaving with the patients and their family members including my sister and my family and several others like us. They were using phrases like "If she'll keep jumping around obviously she would feel pain". (I failed to understand which patient is in a condition to jump around when they're admitted in a hospital) They were making disgusted looks to elderly patients who were throwing up because of the medicines, shouting at them for no reason and putting injections as if they're no human and they don't feel any pain. Last night when my mother took my sister to the washroom the men who work there as cleaners were following them and that raises a HUGE question against the security of women admitted in this hospital, and when we complained to the nurses they were blaming us taking their sides. I really want to raise this question to the higher authorities of "Lady Harding" that if these interns and the junior staff are so frustrated with their jobs then why are they still working there? Do they think people who come there for treatment are on their mercy? If they really think this way then i believe they are sadly mistaken because everyone has the equal rights to use the facilities provided by Government and they are not the ones paying for any expense from their own pockets. Plus if you're in this field then the first step is to be human and never to forget that you can also be a patient and you can also be in same condition as the person you're treating that way, Heaven and Hell everything is here and we design our fate with our deeds and today i dont know how many times i have cursed these people for this kind of behavior. Pathetic useless unhygienic government hospital

Totally Agree with you even i want to make it a big revolution.. as i have seen there people suffering from alot of pain and they want a photocopy of the prescription and guess what the photocopy shop was far away from there even i was roming around the shop but wasnt able to find.. because that shop is single shop is a very small 10x 5 room around the garbage area... if they know they need photocopies they should have their machines..
2. Its the oldest hospital in Delhi and every one is aware that all the attendant and relatives wait and stay outside in the night time as well as in day time... but there is not even a Shed no place to stay..
3. all rooms of doctors and nurses are fully air conditioned but the halls of patients where there are dozens of patient there was no AC at all. There is very very had suffocation and humidity in those rooms... just have old fans. birds, cockroaches and other insect can is easily seen many times in a day
4. The behave of the staff with the patients are very very rude. they dont even reply in a good manner dont tell properly about things
5. There is no Medical Shop nearby the hospital for the medicines you have to waste your 40 minutes by walking of 20 minutes for reaching the nearby medical store ... and in a situation of emergency that's a lot of time
6. There are only interns who do some hard work there.. but even they are not there for cure anyone they are there to learn so even they dont take it seriously. All the doctors think that they are GOD and they don't even visit mostly and reply to question even they treat patients like animals.
7. There is no filtered water available in the HOSPITAL there are water coolers but all with tasteless and harmful no filtered water.. i mean they dont have filters in there machines or RO installed... well obviosly they have given space to some shopkeepers how will they earn money.

I agree both o[censored].I m also suffering form these problems ...But remember it is govt.. Hospital and also i m in india where we cannot change nothing...

We can change it only if we want the thing is commitment... I am serious for this and i tried to gather few people to appoint few people at the hospital to assist the patients and help them. but no one is intrested as no one has time...
Lady Harding Hospital is one of big government hospital but its services are not big, interns doctors and the attitude of doctors very bad the Staff is also having bad attitude, the cleaning also not good, There is no any proper administration in the hospital, There is no any responsible person where we can take right informationThere is no any proper guidance by staff & doctors, The all staff here working only for money, Not for helping or saving someone life no proper arrangements . Very poor hospitals
