LG Electronics — Charging money for Filter of washing machine which is in warranty

Sir, Recently we purchased the Washing machine during the cleaning of the filter it is broken, actually the cloth which is present over the filter is very soft and easily breakable so i want to replace it but when i called it vijay sales customer care they said it is chargeable even we purchased the additional VS warranty of 1 Year for this product and now only we as customer experiencing such problem then what can i do

Please do the needful help and replace my filter in warranty
