Linkway Honda — cheated with car insurance purchase

Hi,

I was cheated last year by linkway honda on purchase of new vehicle where they took out the insurance policy on the next day of when i booked the car.
The delivery was after a month from the date of booking as well as the car was registered after 3 weeks later.
How can the company take out the insurance without the car even getting registered?
