[Resolved]  Lion Dates — Found worm in the sealed packet of dates

I purchased a packet of Lion dates and when i opened the packet to eat it, i found a worm crawling inside. The packet was completely sealed before that. The manufacturing date is feb 2014 and it says best before 12 months from manufacturing and now its just may 2014. What kind of food quality standards are these?
