Maharashtra Traffic Police — Unlawful towing

I am an advocate by profession and well versed with the traffic rules and regulations. My vehicle was parked below my office where I have been parking since last 10 years and there is no "No Parking " sign anywhere near the place from where my 2 wheeler was towed. Initially when I approached the traffic Police at Andheri East Highway, Mr. Dilip Mokal said that my 2 wheeler was parked in the footpath and later when I went to collect it in the afternoon, they told me it was parked in the No Parking area which is blatant lie and I have enough evidence to counter this lie. This act of the towing Contractors of randomly picking vehicles without following the guidelines is just to extort money from innocent citizens unlawfully by fooling them in the name of traffic violation. This unlawful act does not justify traffic violation rather it is sheer harassment which has been adopted by the Towing Contractors to fleece the common man to earn unlawfully.
