[Resolved]  Mahindra And Mahindra — regarding making fool of customer during service session of mahindra xuv 500

This is regarding the complaint of mahindra servicing center where we give our mahindra xuv 500 (Cg 07 ah 5000) for servicing it is located in mahindra shivnath automobiles pvt. Ltd, dhamda road, gram chikli, dist-durg, chattisgarh-491001. When we went to service center for submission of car we have problem regarding left window glass only and so we told them for general servicing also. After 5 days they sent us estimate of rupees 1, 25, 000 when we ask about what happend they told that you have problem regarding gear box they opened gear box they don't even take approval regarding this and we know that there is no problem in gear box car gear is working fine. So we denied the amount 1, 25, 000 and told the manager that we will complaint about this to higher offical so they reduce amount to rupees 25, 000 but we denied the work of gear box because at the time of submission of car it is working fine and after that when we went to pick up the car to check wether car is alright so we test drive it and now car is making so much noise from gear box, it has no noise before. So what we can do now, please take immediate action against them. Sir we are hoping for positive reply from you.

I have paid payment of new car and dealer has delivered to me used car.. With changes in delivery date and km driven..

Dear Mahindra colleagues,

I have been a proud owner of XUV500 (1970, W10) since 24.04.2016. After thorough market research, series of test drives, I was pleased by XUV500 (W10) and took the delivery from your dealership on 24.4.2016.
I had enjoyed and was pleased by my vehicle and even recommended Mahindra vehicles to my friends – two of them bought the AT version of XUV500 W10 and one bought the XUV300 (AT).

Soon, I noticed few problems i.e. leaking of water from roof, start-stop button not working, the windows were not winding smoothly. My XUV has regularly been serviced at the Mahindra Service Station (Concept Mahindra, New Delhi) as scheduled and only run ~30000 kms. During my free services (2nd service) and also subsequent paid services, I have clearly mentioned these problems, specifically the leaking water from roof. I was always assured that the problem was fixed. BUT, every other monsoon or rains, I would again face the same problem, and go through the same process of complains, services and assurances, but it persists till today.

I have always been a very careful and the only driver, and my XUV has never involved in accidents (besides scratches on the body). Last week I took my vehicle out for office and realized again the roof was leaking. Next morning when I was trying to start my car, the engine won’t start. So, I complained and requested for home service from Mahindra.

The Mahindra service person came and opened up few panels and showed me water inside the side panels, the corroded wires and well as a broken wire. I was more than worried, even after repeated complaints and assurances by Mahindra service, the water was inside the electric panels that had resulted in corrosion and potential problems in the entire circuit. This also was confirmed later by the service diagnostics team - 'there has been a short circuit and wires are stuck together'.

He tried to fix but could not. Ultimately the vehicle had to be towed to the – Concept Service station, MCI at Mathura Road, New Delhi.

I got the shock of my life, when after almost 4 days spent on diagnostics, I was given a service quote of Rs. 66, 276/- (after discount). The quote (attached) says that the entire engine wiring and CCB harness (wiring) has to be replaced. My XUV500 is just 4 years old, has no history of accidents, nor driving abuse. I can understand the other mechanical wear and tear problems but if in a 4 year XUV500, a so called premier segment car of Mahindra; the entire wiring has to be changed infers two things:
- Poor quality of this so-called premier car by Mahindra
- Poor servicing and customers being fooled

Had the problem of water leakage services well and resolved, this damage to the entire wiring would not have happened.

I request your kind and urgent attention to resolve this, and I as a customer should not be penalized for either poor servicing or poor manufacturing. It is a very very high cost of repair (of a vehicle with no accident and only 4 yrs old with ~30000 kms). This incident has terribly questioned my brand loyalty to Mahindra and recommendations for the brand and XUV500, in specific.
