[Resolved]  MakeMyTrip India — Amount deducted, hotel booking not done before one day of travel

I booked an international hotel through MMT in for which amount was approx INR 16000 for 2 nights for 3 people with breakfast.

When I booked the hotel, amount was immediately deducted from my account. After a while when I did not receive the confirmation, I realized that the hotel was not booked yet the amount was deducted.

I thought that I would book the same hotel again but I found that the amount of this hotel was raised from INR 8000 per night to around 12000 per night.
So, I could not book this hotel.
I had to book hotel for 'next day' so even booking was urgent.

When I contacted customer support from Germany (I live in Germany), I was told that I should book another hotel. Previous amount was deducted and I was asked to book again and wait for refund of previous amount.

Even now I agreed to it and thought of booking another hotel of same category that I was booking earlier.
Now I realized after the search that the minimum amount of hotel for this category was approx 11000 per night without breakfast and with breakfast it would be additional INR 3300 which means around INR 24300 for 2 nights with breakfast for same stay which was earlier in INR 16000 for 2 nights and with breakfast.

Which means I should pay an extra of approx INR 8000 just because of technical error of make my trip.
I again talked to customer executive and he told me on the record that he will get some compensation for this.
He shared his mail id, and since then I have been following up on this issue.

It has been a waste of my time, money and more importantly a mental harassment as the gentleman after doing big promises just do not respond to the mails anymore. Last response I received officially from MMT was this

'The case has been escalated to our corporate head office team our highest level escalation team'.

It has been a month and I have no update from MMT. I am really saddened by the behavior and would like to file a complaint against them asking for compensation for the time, money and harassment they have caused.

I had done several bookings on it earlier and even my friends in Germany book through this site on recommendation but I think its high time MMT changes its complacent behavior with its customers.

The booking that was cancelled automatically was : NH[protected] at Hotel Drei König
The next booking that I did was : NH7P[protected]

For the cancelled booking, my own mail id was used. For the other booking, my husband's mail id was used.
However, the phone number mentioned in both the bookings is same.

Also, please let me know if I also need to send the series of mail communication that I had with MMT support team . Given below is the first written communication following a long conversation with the team.

Dear Guest,

Greetings from Makemytrip.com..

This is in regards of the booking ID: NH[protected]

For the above booking, the payment was successful from your end, however due to technical glitch on the website the booking got failed, now as discussed you need to make a new booking & for the same there are huge difference in prices that are reflecting, hence would request you to go ahead with booking a property which is having the least price difference from the amount paid in for the failed booking.

Acknowledging the above issue that the glitch was from MMT’s end, we are looking in for compensation for the same, for which we will be updating you in the next 24 hours.

P.S: Though these 24 hours ended almost over a month back, I have no clue of any progress or decision made on this.

I have booked train ticket dated on 13/5/17 journey date 21/05/2017 kpd to Raipur booking I'd NR[protected] deduct my money in account but not generate ticket pls refund my money 8442.83 rs.
