[Resolved]  MakeMyTrip India — failed to provide stay even after giving online confirmation & charging upfront payment

I made an hotel booking from make my trip on 13-sep-2019 (Hotel name: oyo 46579 royal palace resort) for my check-in on 19-sep-2019.

Make my trip charged the total dues upfront & gave me an online confirmation stating that my booking is confirmed. To be double sure about my bookings, i called up at the hotel (Number was mentioned in e-ticked recieved from make my trip) & the hotel manager told me that they no longer have any tie-up with make my trip & oyo hence these bookings will not be entertained.

I immediately raised it to make my trip. After repeated follow-ups on their customer care, they came back on 16-sep & offered me a stay at different hotel which was no where matching (In terms of location as well as amenities) with the hotel i selected. I denied accepting this resolution.

They said they will check with their higher authorities & will come back to me within 1 hour to provide me a best solution. Again they vanished & i have to repeatedly chase them through phone & email.

On 18th sep (Just 12 hrs before my expected time of check-in), their customer delight representative called me (By that time i started my trip as i didn't wanted to spoil my family holidays because of this blunder by make my trip) & informed that neither they are able to provide me stay in the original hotel which i booked nor they are able to provide me any alternate stay with matching amenities.

They offered me a compensation against this failure on their part. I heard the compensation amount as rs. 3000 & agreed to it whereas they are saying that they mentioned the amount as rs. 1000.
When they sent me an email to seek my confirmation on compensation amount of rs. 1000, i immediately responded them that amount i heard over the phone was 3000 not 1000. However, they said they have mentioned compensation amount as 1000 & they can only compensate upto rs. 1000 only.

Considering the mental trauma / restless sleeps (Assume you are suppose to go for vacation in next 1 / 2days but your hotel booking is still not confirmed even though you have made the upfront payment) which i & my family have gone through & the additional amount i have to incur on a separate hotel, this rs. 1000 is not enough.

I would like to seek your help to submit my plea to the make my trip. I
