MakeMyTrip India — technical error in booking tickets, management fails to refund money

Dear Team,

This is with reference to Technical Error I faced while booking tickets for Tutari Express on MakeMyTrip India on November 27, 2019, and for the same its Customercare Executives were of no help to refund the money deducted.

The case in point is I wanted to book tickets for Tutari Express for November 28, 2019, midnight 12:30 am which technically takes new day November 29 as journey day.

However, due to technical error on MakeMyTrip after booking the tickets the system took November 27 midnight as journey instead ideally technically it should have taken November 28 midnight as journey day .

I had no idea about this error before I received the chart SMS notification from IRCTC.

As soon as I received the Tutari Express chart preparation SMS notification on November 27, I informed MakeMyTrip team via chat at approximate 8:35 pm on November 27 and the call back response was also very slow in terms of action . It wasted my time.

At first MakeMyTrip Customercare executives were not ready to accept the mistake that has happened through Technical Error from their side and secondly they haven't responded several mails sent to them.

My only question is why should I face the financial loss for technical error from your back end team of Makemytrip India ? IT team had said to customer care executive there wasn’t any error which in reality was indeed.

The customer care executives did not even help me to file TDR which was another option I gave to them and they stated that now you cannot file the TDR as chart is prepared at 8:35 pm. How less informed are they?

If MakeMyTrip website says that after chart preparation you can contact customer care executives in morning to file TDR then how come your customer care executives cited me the reason TDR is not possible once chart is prepared.

The next day I once again had word with Ms Manishi who closed the complaint without even having word with me just because I was not available to answer the call.

It's been several days but there has been absolutely no response or concrete action from MakeMyTrip. I even dropped an email to Mr Deep Kalra he has also failed to respond to my mail.

I have never expected such kind o[censored]ncooperative assistance from MakeMyTrip.

If Makemytrip management is reading this complaint I want to request you to fix the Technical Error asap and refund my money. Why clients should suffer financial loss when there is Technical Error from your back end team ?
