Manipal Hospital — Money Minded people and care less answers to patients

Address:Krishna, Andhra Pradesh

Hi, My Father was under going an CKD treatment in Vijayawada branch and doctor is good and he explained me about the treatment and we are okay with the treatment and started taking the treatment but the other doctor supporting staff in this branch hospital is not at all good and they don't have proper knowledge and experience in the treatment. Mainly the Billing department and Insurance department staff (Ramamohan/Ramu and Mahesh) are very rash, rude and care less anyway they are in the billing so they should be money minded but you should give respect to the patients and the patient family members or relatives. Ex: Doctor wrote a medicine for Thyroid problem and hospital nurse only bought the medicine in hospital pharmacy and gave to patient and told that it's for Sugar disease and use it daily and patient started using it and after 2 days we came for doctor visit with all the medicines and prescription given by nurse is wrong. My father undergoing dialysis treatment under insurance claim twice a week, in the final billing they are charging 300 rupees for doctor, 500 rupess as a day care along with dialysis, dialyser kit charges as an extra even though there is no doctor visit and questioned him why are charging this and he said it's hospital policy. How could you charge a money for doctor in the dialysis time ? What about dialysis charges of Rs.1500 ? Why are they charging Day Care Rs.500 ? Every time he is to go for Initial Estimated claim of 16000 rupees and he did this for 3 times and 4th time he sent a claim request for 21500 without informing to the patient or patient family members and asked him why you sent a request like that with out informing to us then he (ramamohan/Ramu) answered that we can't answer for all your questions, we don't have time, this is the hospital policy and if you are interested and take the treatment other wise talk to doctor and when talk to doctor he says that don't know all these things. Today on 29-Jan-2015 my father has an appointment for dialysis in the morning 7 AM and we came to hospital at 6:45 AM for the treatment and they asked us to pay the cash for the treatment even though we have informed them about the appointment and the Insurance claim approved before one day and on the appointment day morning 6:45 AM staff people (Mahesh and Ramamohan) started playing games for an hour and not started the treatment.in the end paid the cash then only started the treatment I said them that will raise complaint on you guys and they answered like this "complaints are not new to us, no one will take action and nothing will happen" This is worst and fully money minded hospital. People who have Arogya Sree card will go to his hospital because they belongs to Rural areas and no idea on the treatment and what ever hospital say they will listen and will not ask any other details.
