[Resolved] Max Life Insurance — regarding agent deactivation call | |||
I have an insurance under max life insurance and recently received a call regarding agent deactivation from the mobile number [protected]. Please tell me authenticity of call. There has been a repeated call from this number for last three days and they asy as per irda guidelines the insurance benefit should go to the customer if the agent does not provide service an not in link with the customer and in order to deactivate they have given a file number max_000675. However, we confirm that this call was not from Max Life Insurance. It appears to be an unsolicited email made by unscrupulous elements in the name of Max Life Insurance. We reassure you that privacy of your policy data is o[censored]tmost importance to us. We have robust controls and Information Security framework to maintain the confidentiality of our policyholders’ information. However, information from various sources is being constructed and made to sound as authentic as possible by these fraudsters to scam customers. These fraudsters usually operate in well organized cartels and pose a threat to customers across financial services industry as notified in recent press articles. We are glad that you are not lured by call from fraudsters offering you discounts on premium or promising you opportunities to cash-in on agent’s commission/ unpaid gains/ bonus on your policy etc. We request you to lodge a police complaint against such suspected fraudsters immediately and ensure stern action against them, with a copy marked to us.
