Medanta The Medicity — Collected money from airport travelers but not provide Report Scans | |
On the date of 15-Aug, we faced medical emergency(fit attack) on delhi terminal 2. From the medanta clinic located there, one doctor checked the patient and asked to shift to the near by medanta hospital. For checking the patient they asked for 3000 rs and said that I will not allow patient to travel for 24 hrs. Then he asked us to move patient in near by medanta hospital which is 24 min away from airport. They take patient in Ambulence where patient was sitting normally like in a Cab. They have made bill of Rs. 3500 for the ambulance. Doctor gave prescription and as per that hospital team had started treatment. MRI report should be required to done but the team had refused for the same and told that today is sunday so it will not done. After some argument they agreed for the MRI scanning, and in that scanning there was a queue(if they don't sacn MRI on sunday then why there was a queue) MRI and X-Ray of the patient had been done there, and as per the doctor report it is normal. As we had next flight to catch, on the same day we asked for the scan copy of the MRI and X-Ray. Scan copies of X-Ray and MRI must be provide immediately and it is totally normal. But I don't know why the team had refused to provide us on that time. We had told them that we have next flight to catch but they were not responding. They told that it will be given after 24 hours. As per that response they were forcing us to stay for 24 hours. As we have no relative and patient was normal, we got discharged from the hospital. Even for the discharge process they were not giving responses. Now I need scan copies of the MRI and X-Ray scans for further treatment. I discussed with the customer care team, among the four people, two people had cut the call in between the discussion and another two had told me that any person has to come and collect the reports from the hospital only. I have cleared all the bills(airport bill, ambulance bill, report bill, bed bill), so it is my right to receive that copy. And it is hospital's responsibility to deliver the same to the customer. As medanta clinic has been opened on airport, it is usual that on airport majority travelers are not from Delhi. This type of hospitals are representing our county in medical facility, then how can tourist trust our country India. Even I as a domestic traveler never put my feet in Delhi's so call reputed hospital. As it is the emergency case from airport, hospital must have to provide courier service if your team has no ability provide scans on time(which common in normal small cities diagnosis center). In our kind of case, I really need that report here and for the hospital it is just the scans for which already they have collected money and after some days those will be considered as garbage.
