Intro:
My name is Haripriya. I retained the services of two trained nurses for home care for my 80 year old bedridden father (with Parkinson's and severe diabetic and kidney complications, including pressure sores) from Medicos Elder care and Home Nursing services, Coimbatore on December 20, 2021. The services we requested is 1) Bsc Nursing graduate with minimal 2 -3 years experience of handling critical bedridden patients and 1 Diploma in Nursing junior candidate for 12 hourly shift each @45, 000 INR. (24 hours)
My father was hospitalized in ICU at GKNM hospital ICU and returned home on January 8, 2022.
Mr Jegannathan Dhesingurajan ([protected]) signed a contract on behalf of Medicos for the same services assuring us total professional care. Ms Alvi handled admin and coordination ([protected]) and Mr Satish Kumar claimed to be Chief accountant [protected])
Complaint Details:
On April 13, Mr D Jegannathan calls yells and gives an ultimatum to pay up arch bill within 5pm failing which he will cancel the contract with immediate effect. and he called the two 'Nurses" on duty and tells them to stop working and leave immediately without handover to another health personnel endangering my 80 year old ailing fathers life and health condition.
Dispute:
Ms Kayatri, Ms Uma, Ms Sowmitha, Ms Suvitha, Ms Malathi, Ms Mohana were the 'Nurses" provided to us in the last 3 month period under the false pretenses and assurances that they are all fully qualified nurses with graduations and diplomas and 2 years experiences. Every one of them left without notice period of the 48 hour shadowing services/assurance provided in the contract.
4 of the above candidates were on whatsapp calls for 5-6 hours a day. On checking we realised none of the candidates have finished Bsc Nursing, either they are college drop outs or internees of General Duty Attendance training courses who were on job training with Medicos company. My father’s health has been compromised with unqualified and substandard 'dropouts/trainees' experimenting on my father care for certificates purposes. Two of the nurses lied about administration of life saving medicines to my father causing damage to his already existing condition. (They said medicines were given when confronted, but in reality they forgot!)
On checking with these nurses, I came to know Ms Kayatri has gone back to college in Bangalore leaving us to complete her nursing course. Ms Uma ad Ms Suvitha has not been paid promised salary and only 8000/9000 INR given, so they left the Medicos Company.
Using these drop outs and trainees this company is extorting huge amounts of money (INR[protected] per day quoted for full fledged qualified nurses), exploiting the vulnerability of the relatives of the sick and aged.
Mr D Jegannathan and his team has no empathy or sensitivity of a bedridden sick patient, though the company is in the field of providing elder care, has not filled in the monthly charges or date in the contract mailed with his signature to us, nor giving me his Medicos bank account. Till date I have been transferring to his personal bank account.
Resolution:
As of today April 15, 2022, I have paid INR 110, 000/-.
1) As a paying customer it is my right to have a completed contract with company bank details with GST paid, not personal bank. I want a letter from the company that the monies I transferred to Mr D Jegannathan‘s personal account is the official bank account of Medicos company.
2) I want copy of these above 6 nurses’ qualifications and experience certificates, since at every stage both Mr D Jegannathan and Ms Alvi reiterated that these girls are nurses with Nursing Graduation and diplomas/ actual work experiences.
4) I was also informed a BSc Nurse costs 25k and diploma 20k, so I want the salary slips paid to all the above 6, while my father’s health has been compromised with unqualified and substandard 'dropouts/trainees' experimenting on my father care for certificates purposes. I want refund of the money 45, 000 paid for months of January and February.
6) I want a compensation amount of 2 lakh Indian rupees for the following:
a) For falsifying and providing unqualified candidates to a critical high risk patient
b) For risking the life of my father
c) For spoiling my reputation and my family’s.
d) Harassing my 77 aged sick mother with false police cases
e) The signed contract mailed to me does not have Medicos bank account, date or amount when mailed to me. But today April 15, Mr D Jegannathan altered the contract adding 45, 000 INR in the blank place and tried to file police case at Vadavalli police station, which is a criminal offence of manipulating /forging documents. I want an apology by the owners of Medicos for the falsification, cheating and manipulating documents.
