[Resolved]  Medplus India — medplus cancelled the order and never refunded rs.5486 since 55 days

Paying upfront and online is a mistake with medplus. They get your money and cancel the order. You get a notification that the money gets refunded in 5 working days but they keep it to themselves.
It’s a little long read but it’s our experience, effort, patience, regularity and disappointment written down.
We ordered our regular medicines online for rs.4564.32 order no rkamm[protected], on 9-july-2018. They cancelled the order next day saying the prescription has expired. We were given prescription for medicines that is to be taken for next 3 years until it’s told to reduce or stop. They say we will have to raise a new order upon receipt of new prescription and the current order is cancelled. The money will refund to the account in 5 working days.
We approached doctor to provide new prescription and nothing changed in the medicines. When we ordered the second time, it was for rs.5486.64, order no rkamm[protected], on 17-july-2018. They now cancel the order again stating that we can order only one month supply and not 45 days’ worth supply. Well, their app allows you to add more than 30 tablets but when the receive order and money, they cancel. We are to make a fresh order again and the present order is cancelled. Money will refund in 5 working days.
It was already 17th and my first order refund did not happen yet. When asked, you get response that the refund is initiated and will take 5 working days.
One week later my wife calls up the call center to enquire about the refund. Now that two orders are cancelled and they have rs.10050 of my money with them. The poor call center person can only say the refund is initiated and will take 5 working days.
Another week goes by and no refund. Call again and now the call center person says they’ve written email to account department and the refund will happen.
Upon continuous call, on 2-august-2018, we got the refund of the first order, close to a month after for rs.4564.32. Now the second order is still under processing. And guess what, you are given same answer “it will take 5 working days to reflect in account”.
Now my wife makes sure she calls every week and enquire about the order refund and we either get response that they have written to account’s department or the usual dialog.
It’s been around 55 days. No sign of my money and no response. I took the first step to write over social media when they stopped picking the calls or put you on hold for eternity. I now agree that choosing medplus over all other options is a mistake, paying them upfront trusting the service is another, patiently reminding for the refund is the biggest. I hope i’m the only one who’s money is cheated by them. I wish no one else joins this wagon of refund request. Rs.5000 can be a huge amount for many people, esp when requesting lifesaving medicines beforehand.
I’m now left with no other options to take social media route to reach the concern person to return my money for service that was never rendered/or product that was never provided. I’m sure i wont get any interest for the money that was withheld for nearly two months. I guess the next step is to write and circulate in whatsapp with screenclips, until it reached the right guy for refund.
