Mega Cabs — Cab booking | |||||
Hi, I had booked a cab at 8.15 am from Bellandur to Kempegowda Internation Airport on 26th of July 2016 because I was aware of the unpredictable Bangalore traffic condition, however the cab arrived at 8.45 am. As predicted, we were stuck in the traffic for 2 hours 40 mins. Our check in time was 11.40 am. After continuous communication with Mr. Kishore (call center executive), by 11.20 we were around 4-5 km from the airport, when the driver stopped the cab at the petrol pump and started demanding money for refilling the tank. After much communication with the call center executives Mr Kishore and Ms Asha, it was decided that since we were almost going to miss the flight, it was alright if we did not pay the bill, as compensation. On reaching the airport at 11.45 am, the chauffeur, drove us out of the cab and started demanding money, keeping our luggage as mortgage. Finally we had to pay the amount as well as miss the flight. On raising a complaint, Ms Lakshmi, Ms Asha as well as Mr. Kishore, could offer only apologies instead of actually compensating for our loss. They seemed blind to the mistakes made on the part of Mega Cabs, that firstly the cab arrived half an hour late, secondly, we were stopped at the petrol pump which wasted further 20 minutes, is keeping the tank full, not a responsibility of Mega Cabs, instead of hogging at the passenger's time and lastly the harassment that was caused by the chauffeur when he blackmailed to flee with our luggage. The only excuse they had was the heavy traffic, but if the same excuse we give to the airline, will they return our ticket fare or make the flight wait? How can Mega Cabs be ignorant of the fact that they wasted 50 mins of our time which resulted in the loss. Had the cab been at our doorstep at the allocated time with an entire tank of fuel, we would not have missed the flight. If the cab was supposed to reach at 8.15 am, the chauffeur should have started at 6 am from his destination. This is one crucial information which Mega Cabs very disappointingly is omitting. If this is what customer satisfaction means to Mega Cabs, then I will not mind paying a little extra but ensuring a hassle free ride with some other travel partner.
