I have booked a cab today for a round trip without any waiting time. This is a very frequent trip that I have been doing using Meru. The driver (KA53A8641) called and informed he will not complete the trip. He will only drop off. I called Meru customer service to enquire on that. Agent named James assured he will make sure the same driver completes the trip. I asked him to confirm it back to me as I have to arrange for alternate cab if the driver is adamant. But the teh agent again confirmed that he will ensure.
15 minutes later, when they reached the drop off location, driver said he will not be coming back. Again I called Meru customer service and complained. Agent James said he is booking a new cab right then(11.55am) and it will arrive in 10 minutes. I have repeatedly told him the trip is for a pickup of a small child from daycare and they cannot wait on the road for so long. Even then, it's after 1 hour the replacement cab(KA53A8641) arrived.
I have faced similar concerns earlier as well. raised many complaints. They keep saying they wil update on the complaint in 3 days. Nothing happens and no update after 3 days. The drivers rule the company and the final say is the drivers.They can turnoff the mobile and not come, no action will be taken. Come after 1 hour, no action will be taken. Even if they don't listen to the company's instructions, . No penalty is done to the drivers. Meru is going down hill. Whereas Mega is catching up. If you want to survive, you better discipline your drivers.
I am regular customer of EZDrive . Their customer service is exceptional. If the driver is late by 15 minutes, we can reduce Rs 50/- from their charge. They have taxi and driver services. Meru, better learn from others before it is too late. Was this information helpful? |
