[Resolved] Meru Cabs — Cab haven't arrived even after the booking confirmation | |||
I was traveling to Delhi from Bangalore yesterday by Rajdhani which starts at 8:20PM. I booked a Cab (booking ID[protected] from Electronic City to Bangalore City Junction for 29th March to board the train. When I called I asked for the Cab to be booked at 5:45 PM and the CCE told me that the Cab can be available at 6 PM only. I gave my go ahead and the cab was booked. Till 5:45PM I didn't get any message with the Cab details. So I called and was said that the Cab is on its way and I will get the details in 2-3 mins. I again didn't get any message till 6, so called again and the same thing was repeated. Again no message in next 10-15 mins and the same process repeated. This time the executive told me that no matter what they will provide me a cab by 6:30PM which I never received. Till 6:40 I didnt get any Cab and I called again and the executive told me that they are working on my request. Finally I gave up and requested my friend to drop me to the railway station. We started at 6:50PM but could not reach to the station in time. The train was missed by 5 mins. I had no option but to book the flight ticket to Delhi for today which is costing me 30000 for my family (Me+wife+kid). This is so ridiculous that I have to pay so heavily for the mistake of Meru. To add a funny thing, I got a call from the Meru Cab Driver at 7:15 PM saying that my cab is at 7:30PM. I want to lodge a complaint against Meru in consumer forum and take legal action against them.
