I booked a smartphone on emi via this website. I then received a call from the company as they received my inquiry. The person explained & confirmed my order & asked me to make a payment of ₹3500 as down-payment. I agreed and made the payment while on call with the rep. They asked me to use phonepe & use their upi for making payment. After that i received another call and the rep was from same company, and he told me i have to take insurance for the phone & the insurance is refundable immediately once i pay them. The amount was ₹3499 & the guy assured me that immediately refunds will be done. I paid using the same method. After the payment was successful the caller told me that their website is not showing my payment & asked me to do it again.in total i did three payments of same amount. After few minutes i again received their call and they forced me to do a payment of ₹6499, assuming me that the refunds will be done within 2 minutes. I denied to do the payment & they told me that the money that i already paid will then not be refunded until 45/60 days & that too they can't confirm.in total i paid ₹21000 & i received an email stating my phone on emi request was rejected. This happened on 01/07/20, since then i am unable to contact those numbers and my money is gone. I have filed a complaint with my local police station. I really want to resolve this fraud they are doing, m sure lot of people are getting victim of such fraudulent activities. Kindly assist.
