Morphy Richards — the bad product quality of morphy richards icon dlx 1000 w food processor (steel black) | |||
I am writing on this forum after numerous attempts made on call and complains raised on morphy richards website regarding the product quality of morphy richards icon dlx 1000 w food processor (Steel black) bought on 15/06/2017 via invoice number 20158/2017-18/46813. It was delivered 4 days later. The product worked fine for almost 1.5 years. There after whenever i used the bigger steel jar, it used to leave a metallic dust around the processor and underneath the jar too. Though, it was always there after every use, but it was not a hindrance to my work so i didn't complain to the customer service. But in may 2019 the liquidizer jar (Plastic jar) started to leak from bottom. Before i could complain for it, i went abroad for a month the troubles didn't stop there. The food processor stopped picking speed as if there is no strength. The motor worked very slowly or did not work at all as per its mood. I observed this as soon as i came back from abroad. Immediately i complained to morphy richard consumer service to register a complain only to be informed that i was late minuscule 3 days for putting across a complain to be eligible for a free service. Speaking with the technician who called after my complain was lodged informed me that the estimated expense for repair and replacement of the faulty part would come to approx rs 4000/-. I was totally discouraged to go ahead with that as the expense was 50% cost of the food processor. This the product, which is company's premium product in the category, a product which is expected to be long lasting heavy duty for a product. The food processor which i spent rs 8298/- exactly two years ago had multiple issues that too just at the completion of two years. Is that the quality of product expected from a company of this repute? You cannot shrug away from the responsibility of a shabby poor quality product sold to a genuine buyer like this. I insist that the company takes my complain as a lead and investigate the poor quality of the product provided and honours the free service and repair/replacement of the product.
