Honda Dealer: Balaji Automotive — Balaji Automotive(HOnda Dealer): False promises+Terrible Customer Service

Dear Sir,

I write this mail with to let you know about my unpleasant experience that had with or dealer, Balaji Automative,
570,TH Road, Old Washermanpet,Tondiarpet, Chennai.

My ordeal began the first day I visited the Balaji Automative Showroom on[protected] to see the Honda bike models available. I have to say that I was highly upset with the kind of customer service that they offered. There was no sale agent to attend me and I had to wait for around 25 minutes before someone turned up to me. I informed him that I am interested in Honda Shine model and the sale agent gave me the quotation for the bike. When I asked him to show me the colors that are available, He simply showed me the way up stairs and told that someone upstairs would show me the vehicle. When I went upstairs it was a total mess to see that all the vehicles were parked so close to each other that I couldn't even see the vehicles and color of the model properly. On top of that all the agents were busy with their mockery session among themselves and none came forward to show me the model. But I managed to sneak through the vehicles and saw the models available and decided on the color on my own. I went down and informed the agent that I am willing to book the vehicle and paid him booking charge of Rs10,000 that he asked for. Then I paid the rest of the total net amount by cash the immediate day[protected] as I was promised that the vehicle is available right away and I will be handed over with the vehicle latest by 23rd April 2013 completing the registration process

They asked me to come to the showroom on 19th April 2013 for Pre-registration inspection, but the vehicle was not available. Then I went to the showroom again on 20th April and my sale agent just informed me my vehicle’s ref number and asked me to check it out upstairs on my own, I wonder if your sale agent even have a slightest clue of how to deal with a customer. But again there was no vehicle upstairs. I walked down to tell him that there is still no vehicle upstairs, but he was not there in the showroom. He called me over the phone and told me that the vehicle has not yet reached the showroom and asked me to wait again for half an hour. Then I found that he vehicle just arrived the showroom and checked it out and asked them to process for registration. Then they told that they need a couple of days to complete the registration and promised me that the vehicle will be registered and delivered on 23rd April.

I visited the showroom on 23rd April only to find that they did absolutely nothing the couple of days. It was only after seeing me they even started to prepare the invoice and they registration documents. I was annoyed to hear that the vehicle was still not registered. I had to escalate this to their Sales manager, and he intervened and asked their staffs to prepare the invoice and registration doc immediately. He requested for two more days and told that he will make sure that the vehicle will be registered and delivered on 25th April. So I had to visit the showroom again on 25th April, only to get their usual response that the vehicle was still not registered, this time I totally lost hope on the Sale manager and it appeared to me that I made a blunder by deciding to take a Honda vehicle. Then He again asked me to come on 26th April 2013, and finally I found that he vehicle was ready. But, they gave me a delivery challan that was already signed by another customer and it was erased with whitener. I grew suspicious if I was handed over with a vehicle that was already delivered to another customer and inquired them on the same but they told that it was an error committed by the customer that he signed on the wrong delivery slip. I am frustrated with the irresponsible nature of the staffs and their responses.

After all, When I was about to take the vehicle for delivery, they didn't have the service book (Owner's manual) and the tool kit stating that they are out of stock. They promised me to call me back the next day but I didn't hear from them till today. Over all I am a victim of terrible customer service that i had to waste my time visiting the showroom multiple times to get a vehicle despite the fact the entire payment was made the second day. This only gives me an impression that Honda is full of false promises and absolutely have no concern towards customer satisfaction but all focus towards the customer's money. I want you to check on this with the dealer and arrange to get me the owner’s manual and tool kit at the earliest, otherwise I will have to take this forward legally.
