I had an mts wireless usb data card connection, which i was using in chennai for the past 5 years. I had started facing internet related issues, during the month of october. I recharged for an amount of 499/- from a vendor (Shop owner abi mobiles) during the 3rd week. After the recharge, i again faced issues & could not find the customer information, data card no. Available on the site.

Being a very experienced user with internet, i suspected a malware, hacking attempt or disruption caused by rains in chennai. I placed a call to mts customer care which lasted about 6 mins. I was told to recharge again for a min rupees 249/- or more.
Accordingly agreed with them to recharge for 699/- 10 gb download available plan. After the recharge on 1st november, i never ever got the internet connection & subsequent calls to customer care of mts was not given a satisfactory reply. Mts initially blamed the vendor (Shop owner), who on november 3rd gave a clarification that the recharge was unsuccessful & his next attempt on 3rd went through with a "success" prompt on his phone application.

Eversince till the news of mts exit & merger with reliance communications, that was released on 14th november, i never had internet at home on my labtop or desktop. My emails to mts was never answered & prior phone calls to mts gave an auto reply "this no. Is out of coverage area".
The last phone communication which occurred on 3rd november with a customer care executive was, "mts is facing some technical issues, which may be possible due to the heavy raining week in chennai". The shop owner of abi mobiles probably unaware, also suspected me of some wrong doing at my end.

I wrote a 3rd email prior to the indian news paper news release, seeking a refund of the amount, seeking a response, why i was asked to pay for an unavailable service till date?.
My email is yet to be replied to & i seek reddressal from the consumer forum. Mts customer care were well aware that they are existing india, when they made me pay twice rs 499/- and 699/-, for a prepaid usb data card connection. Is this not a classical example of a "ran somewhere" attack?
