We the residents of ground floor and first floor of the captioned property would like to bring to your notice that the owner of the second floor has illegally started constructing the third floor. There is no parking space available in the property and any construction is in violation of the building by laws and prevailing master plan of delhi 2021. There is no structural stability certificate available for the building. Our rooms/ bathrooms have seepage after the illegal construction initiated by the owner of the second floor. Any further construction would endanger the entire building and the occupants in the said property.
The aforesaid construction has come to our notice recently since it was carried out in a clandestine manner from behind the house. We noticed the construction activities when the ground water was completed depleted and the owner of the second floor on his own broke the marble of the parking slot in front of the house for repairing of the water pump. After initiation of the construction activities, there is huge problem of water. We were surprised to notice that the construction activities have been taken up at a fast pace. Apart from that the basement, the ground floor and the first floor have seepage problems. All construction activities have been carried out without any information to us. The owners of the ground floor are senior citizens and such harassment at the behest of the owner of the second floor ought to be looked into by the sdmc. It is therefore requested that sdmc take immediate steps for stopping such illegal construction. The entire construction which is now being contemplated by the owner of the second floor is totally illegal and without any approval. Further, it is against the norms of the master plan since it has no parking space which is mandatory requirement under the master plan.
You are therefore requested to immediately look into the matter and stop any such attempt to carry out the illegal construction on the terrace of second floor of property bearing no. E-83, greater kailash, part-ii, new delhi-110048.
Please consider the aforesaid email as most urgent since we are facing immense difficulties in residing in our property due to the construction activities initiated by the owner of the second floor which has resulted in seepage in the walls of our properties, including shortage of water and a cloud of dust hovering into our flats. The construction has damaged our properties which will be evident only if an inspection is done by the officers of sdmc. An early action will be appreciated.
