Municipal Corporation Of East Delhi — burning of garbage
I would like to draw your attention towards the problem of garbage burning in Delhi. People of North East delhi burn garage in huge amounts especially the ones along railway tracks of Shahdara, seelampur, welcome and Shastri park. The garbage contains plastic and other chemicals as well which one can sense out of the smell and smoke rising out of it. It causes a huge amount of pollution which Delhi already suffers from. It is because either people burn them to get rid of it when it is not picked up by sanitation workers or workers burn them to get rid of it on the tracks. Most of the time, I wake up to smell of something burning up and am afraid what will happen in the months of Nov and Dec when pollution is at its peak. Please put a ban on garbage burning or start imposing fine on such culprits. Was this information helpful?
