National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — depriving discounted return journey fare for cash payment in name of complying with fastag | |||
I had a bad experience of having to pay two single fares (Rs. 65+rs. 65) instead of return journey fare of rs. 95 at valavanthankottai nh 67 toll plaza in tamil nadu on saturday, 18/01/2020 in spite of repeated protests and the return journey happened within 2 hours. On demanding an explanation, i was told by the toll booth operator that it is being done to encourage fastag compliance. Is this legal. I am not aware of any government order to this effect.
