Navasuja Sankara Nethralaya Eye Hospital — negligence to treat emergency case of

My Grandfather, a glaucoma patient named A.Philomannathan (patient mrd number is 1090204), aged 83 years had been treated at this particular hospital(at Mandaiveli, chennai) for more than 7 years for glaucoma and cataract problems, by Dr.Vineet Ratra and a Retina specialist. On 10th of March my Grandfather suffered from severe infection and watery discharge of eyes. so we approached the same hospital at around 8.30 am on 10th March. The patient was not accepted at the Hospital in which he is getting treated from the beginning, he was not allowed to get treated on emergency basis even if the same Dr.Vineet Ratra was present on tat day citing the reason that no appointment was fixed before. the patient was forced to go to the main branch of the particular hospital which is situated at 7 km from the hospital at Nungampakkam. The patient was later treated at the other hospital after 2 hours. the patient was severely suffering due to the lack of attention he received from the hospital. he had to suffer all the way for more than 4 hours throughout the day for getting treated on an emergency basis. How come such a reputed hospital cannot have an emergency department for patients??
