Nestaway Technologies — Nestaway did not refund the promised deposit | |||
I am staying at nestaway since more than a year. Now due to COVID outbreak, I decided to move out. We had dropped a mail to the company and the property owner requesting to reduce our rent as nobody was staying at the flat. So, I decided to move out. I had paid Rs.12000 deposit, and had monthly rent of Rs 6000 + (Rs. 199 +GST) Assure charges. I had always paid the rent on time. Nestaway was responsible for updating the other charges on the dashboard and we used to pay it. Other charges included electricity bills, gas bill, water supply bills etc. They never updated charges on dashboard on time. They used to update the bills once in 6 months or so. It used to be a big amount to pay, but then too, we used to pay it before due date. We had raised a ticket and asked them to update the bills monthly and they had promised the same. When we moved in our property manager told us, tenants living in A. C rooms will pay 70% of the bill and remaining will pay 30% of the bill. I was living in a non AC room. When I moved out, there were no dues on my dashboard. No damage to the property was done. There were pending bills, bit as they were not updated, we didn't pay it. 3 tenants moved out before me, and 2 of them recieved a complete refund. I was the 4th one to move out, and have received only Rs. 6600. And remaining amount is deducted under Other Charges. I raised many requests for my refund, but none was addressed. Even after dropping mail to property manager and owner, no one is responding to the mail. About pending bills, my overall contribution is about Rs.1896, which can be reduced from my deposit but not more than that is acceptable. These charges also include bills of the months when I was not even staying at the property, and other tenants were utilizing the amenities. Nestaway did not charge any of these bills to tenants who moved out a very few days before me. On recent ticket, they replied saying that I have to pay the bills, attach the reciept and then only my remaining amount may be refunded. So here, firstly, i was not the only one staying at the property, 7 others stayed with me from which e have already moved out, and 2 have given a notice for move out. Secondly, This is not my responsibility to go to everyone and collect the money, it was there responsibility to manage this which they didn't do. And the most important, if they are so concerned about the deposit why am I the only one whose deposit is not getting refunded? I need my deposit asap. Was this information helpful? | |||
