Nkgsb Bank — rude behaviour of staff and rbi conduct not followed

Dear sir/madam,
I am a customer of nkgsb for the past 5 years and hold a individual saving account in mira bhayander branch (Branch code 32 | ifsc)
I have faced issues with my debit card being non functional at times. On reporting this to the
Customer service of nkgsb, i was asked confidential details like cvv and pin of the debit
Card to get the issues checked. On highlighting this to the branch and customer service, i
Was told by the staff that the bank do take the liability of getting this verified with the
Customer service department.
It was a very unlikely response. I decided to turn the account to zero to avoid any dispute in
My account.
At a later stage, i got the card blocked and reissued.
I ask the branch staff to convert my account to basic banking saving account which is a
Zero balance account. Branch staff refused and i was told that there is no such account
Offered as per rules of the bank.
I couldn't close the account at that stage as this account was registered for tax returns and
Other important credits from government departments.
I was left with no option but to continue with the account untill all my financial relationships
With the bank comes to an end.
Once the formalities were over, i made sure i proceed with account closure. Unable to
Personally visit the bank i assigned my family member to submit a completely signed
Account closure form along with my debit card and cheque book and passbook to proceed
With the request of closure but the form was not accepted citing that account holder need to
Be personally present.

The account is now into negative balance due to non maintenance charges. Account has
Been inactive for more then a year but i was not notified by the bank by letter, email, calls or
Sms and nor offered bsbd account and nor was my complaint acknowledged.
To my knowledge, the rbi has asked banks to stop imposing charges for non-maintenance
Of minimum balance once the balance in a savings account touches zero. According to the
Rbi, if any bank continues to debit charges on a savings account creating a negative
Balance, customers can approach the banking ombudsman.
I am sad to say that despite making efforts to continue with the relationship with nkgsb
There has been a very unlikely response.

Staff of nkgsb mira bhayander branch have been extremely rude. They address me as mulghi in marathi rather then using professional language as customer or account holder or ma'am. They interacted among themselves "mulghi ka case nipta ke baat karte hai"
Extremely unlikely behaviour.

Please train your staff to hand public relations.
