With regards to one of my rides outstation, using OLA cabs - i.e. from Coimbatore airport to Ooty, the driver said he will only accept cash payment and not from OLA money wallet. Hence, I changed the payment mode to cash instead of Ola money (although I had funds in the account). I paid 2000 cash to the driver upon reaching my destination at Ooty from Coimbatore airport on June 8th, 2018. I wasn't given a receipt for the same and I was ok as I didn't know or realize that OLA will also charge my Ola money wallet for the same amount and also activate some post paid service (for which I never opted for). OLA has been harassing me to pay them the 500 bucks back that was charged to my account during the trip ever since i returned from my trip (June 14th, 2018). When i complained, they are saying that they cannot validate my claim as its been more than 48 hours now. Why was the postpaid service activated in my account without my approval?; Why didn't OLA try to contact me within the 48 hours time duration about this? This definitely sounds like cyber crime (read fraud) on the OLA app and I am at the receiving end of this. No amount of emails, messages or talks with OLA personnel has helped as they are not willing to help in any way. They have been harassing me by calling me numerous times during my office hours for payments. Now, they are threatening me of legal action for absolutely no fault of mine!! I do not have the contact no. of the driver either who charged me cash, neither is OLA willing to contact the driver about this. Please help me file a case in this matter. Thanks.
