Ola — ola cab driver | |||
I had hired ola cab driver on 25th oct from kondapur (Hyd, telangana) to rajiv gandhi international airport (Hyd). I had a flight at 12:10 departure and i boarded the ola cab around 10 am. It takes 45mins to max 60mins from my residence through outer ring road around this time. Midway, the driver stopped to fill the petrol and waited for almost 5 to 10mins. Then he was driving slower at the speed of 50kms per hr even when roads were relatively free. On the highway, one can speed up to 100kms per hr but he kept the speed of 80kms per hour. I constantly requested him to speed up, not stop at the petrol station even when he had adequate petrol but he didnot listen and did as per his whims and fancies. When requested him he started mocking me. He didnot even think it was important to reach on time. Through the entire journey, even when roads were empty he didnot increase the speed. Further ola doesnot have a call center access during the ride. When i called the call center no listed on the internet,[protected] with all the possible std codes, it didnot connect. The call would just drop. So there was no way to reachout to the call center and driver partner call center no is not listed anywhere. This is complete inconvenience to the customer. Because of this, i missed my flight by just 3mins! The counter to drop bag closed 45mins before the scheduled departure time. I was late by 3mins only! The indigo staff was very strict and didnot accomodate and asked me to take another flight hence i had to pay additional rs.1133.00 When complained to ola, the completely shun the responsibility of ensuring the customer reaches ontime at the airport. We are at the whims and fancies of the driver. If the driver is unprofessional during the journey then as a customer we donot have any way to reachout to the ola call center too. This puts the customer in complete jeopardy the way i was. Before boarding the cab we donot realise which driver is professional or not. I want refund of my flight fare and trip fare. We pay as customers for the driver service only to know that we are going to miss our flight and be penalised too. The driver should also learn from such experience hence he should also bear the penalty and customer should get refund of their money. Only putting it on traffic is not the answer. Why did he wait at the petrol station for 10mins? Even if traffic is reason, i would still have been 10mins early before the scheduled time. I would have not missed my flight at the least!
