Omaxe — Unnecessary harassment of customer | |
I booked a flat in Omaxe Residency Phase II, Sarsawan, Lucknow in 2011. After a series of delays in construction and Registration, I finally got it registered in January 2020. But eversince then, I haven’t received the possession. The authorities tried to handover an incomplete flat to me in March 2020 with a long list of pending things including water connection, power connection, POP work, washroom fittings, and so on. Obviously, I refused the hand-over and was promised completion within 1 week. Subsequently, there was nation-wide lockdown and work halted. I kept writing to Omaxe to get update and was informed in April that there is delay due to lockdown. I never heard anything since then. Despite my repeated concerns that maintenance should be charged only after handing-over the flat (which they have charged for 1 year in advance), they never replied to my concern. Now, on 2nd Aug 2020, I receive a letter from Omaxe stating that they offered me possession in October 2019 (3 months before Registry) and I have been delaying the possession for which I have to pay a penalty @ Rs 5 per sq ft per month. This is a stunning bundle of lies and exposes them as to how they treat their customers who never defaulted at any stage. It should be, infact, me who should be asking for compensation from Omaxe for the delays that they are causing. I demand apology from Omaxe, withdrawal of this letter, prompt completion of my flat and due compensation for the delays caused at various stages. Was this information helpful? | |
