[Resolved] One Assist — Mobile Insurance
I have purchased an Insurance plan for My Mobile Motorola X Play from this company on 17-Dec-2015. I provided the required documents (Invoice of Mobile, IMEI No ScreenShot, Various Images of Phone from, back etc). Now after 1 month (almost) my phone got liquid damaged, so i called their customer care to report and apply for claim. They asked me to provide my IMEI no. When i told them, they said it is not matching with the one they have in their database against my insurance. I was surprised as i have provided all original and valid documents. After lots of arguments, they said they will escalate my issue to higher authority. Then i recieved a callback from their executive Mr Ritesh Soni (ritesh.[protected]@onassis.com) who initially dealing with my insurance plan. He told me that it was their mistake as they enter wrong IMEI no so he will apply for change of IEMI no and I can then apply for claim. Company doesn't register the claim until IMEI no matches. Now two days later they called me saying my IMEI no change was successful and i recieved a claim form email as per which i provided my invoice and damaged for photos along with claim form and reverted to the email.
But for two weeks i haven't any update on the claim even i sent email to update me. Then i forced to call them. Their executive said they are verifying my documents. Again i waited for a week and no response from their side. Then i called them, the person who took my call said your case was closed due to Wrong IMEI no. I was shocked as the IMEI no issue was already resolved by their team only. Than i told them case history and they told me they will update the case and your device will be collected by our representative in couple of days. But again same, 10 days no response. I called them 6 times(almost) and they are not responding although every time they assure me that they will call me but they are not giving me call.
I have recorded their calls and i have all documents with me. Please help me out to resolve this. Please let me know if i can register complain to IRDA or Consumer Court.
