One Life Care — fake ngo

Got a call from One life care trust for help of cancer patient admitted in AIIMS. Yes, they are very pushy and forcing to donate on the spot for the patient. The website has documents but they give you a password to open and review it. Why would an NGO follow so much secrecy when these documents should be showcased for all to verify? They are not available on govt. websites or the income tax websites. When asked to share the balance sheets and utilization of funds they have received they become very rude and try to divert your attention to the patient and will never give you a proper answer for the question. They are very particular in getting donations online as they say the help can be forwarded right away to the patient sounds fishy as it is not a bank transfer but a gateway payment. When I called the hospital to verify the case, turned out to be fake!!! When tried to contact me again I told them that I know the truth and that they are fake, they abused me and disconnected the call. When you try to call them back they disconnect and then switch off the phone. Such scam artist these people are… guys please don’t donate to these people. They are not helping patients with the money we donate. It is better to do local donations or donations to verified organizations.

I too got a call form this NGO... it is a shame to know that these people are such frauds. I was about to donate to them for a cancer patient when i read these posts. Now i know why they so much in a hurry to get me to donate online. God will punish these people for sure but let us raise a voice and the attention of the authorities on these cheaters

I too got a call from this NGO. there website is www.onelifecaretrust.org... They are cheaters and frauds, when i asked them to share the details of the doctor treating the patient, they passed the phone to someone who posed to be the doctor and he started explaining the case to me, when i started asking him medical terms and why a hospital like AIIMS is not able to provide treatment free for poor patients his answers was not convincing enough. I requested him to call me from the landline of the hospital and confirm his identity he started getting angry at me and asked if i wanted to save the child or not. How can a doctor talk like this about a patient that he is trying to save. He said that was treating the patient since the last 9hrs without taking a break. all this seems fabricated and they are trying every possible trick to fool people. don't donate to these people. They are cheats

I also received a couple of calls from one life care trust for help of some baby suffering from cancer. They said it was a medical emergency and that they had to submit some sort of medical kit for chemo that costs 26 thousand. I was surprised on hearing the cost and decided to enquire on the details on the type of treatment that was given at the hospital. As I had guessed, there was not patient by that name admitted at the hospital and that they were urging the public not donate to such fake NGOs. When I called back the number and told them that this is what was told, they started getting aggressive and started telling me that I did not want to donate and was just trying find excuses for saying NO. I keep helping many organizations for different causes as and when I can. These people seem to be having some sort of data base which has the numbers of people who have donated because friends in my group are also receiving calls from One Life Care Trust. It is surprising that they even know the names of places where we have donated before. Please be careful and cross check all the details when you receive any calls asking for help. It is because of people like One Life Care, needy people are not getting the help they require as people avoid. Shame on you guys… you should be able to find a proper job and earn a decent living instead of cheating people!!!

I request the public not fall for these fake NGO, they will go to any extent to make you feel bad and will force you to any extent just take money out of your pockets so that they can enjoy

I too received a call from these people, and yes they are very sharp and sound too genuine to be true. As per them everybody but you is not willing to help. they use statements like it is very hard to save a girl child in this country as nobody is willing to help the girl child. you are the only hope for the survival of this child and without your timely support the child will die... such lame and emotional lines that will make any one feel sorry and support. But once you ask them questions regarding complaints and utilization statements they start to use rude language..

Thank you all for informing me i also got a call from these people. Luckily i read these complaints on time and got saved... you are right they can't explain the questions mentioned here... i have reported it to the local police in my area.

I too got a call from One Life Care couple of days back, but they could not fool me as I had done my research on these guys while on the call. They seem to playing with the kindness of general people and trick into donating money on the pretext of saving life. I have been fooled earlier so I only support local or know organizations. These fraudsters try to talk you into believing that they have just come back from the hospital and that the condition of the patient is very serious and that she is in the ICCU of the hospital. When you call and speak to the hospital, they refuse of any such patients been admitted in the hospital. How do these scam artists sleep peacefully at night? I am filled with disgust after getting to know the complete and actual story behind these calls. I have been told that many people have been fooled into donating for these cases. I was told to voice my experience on this platform so that others may benefit from it and not fall prey to such scam and fraud companies whose only aim is to loot hard earned money of the innocent people who have a kind heart and will to help the needy.

To hell with these people... my god!!! how can they play with emotions of the people.. this way no one will every help a person in need.

i got a call from these dirt bags... luckily i knew that they are were fake as they could tell me from where they got my number. Blood donation camps was the source they said complete rubbish.

Lets bring to justice... they should not be left free. they don't deserve to live...

seems that these guys are all linked together... i have got calls from other organisations also... they seem to be sharing the database of people who donate to the poor. this is a big scam that is happening guys... stay safe

i have personally checked these guys as they thought that i was from bengaluru... i'm from delhi and i patiently listened to all there statements and reasons. Blood donation camps is the source where they get contact details... complete lies.. when i told them that im from delhi and will be going to meet the patient, they said please come and disconnected the call... Now they are not picking my call

They work in many organisations and steal numbers of people who donate... i used to donate to save the children and some others also.

when you stop donating to one NGO, they call you from a different NGO.. the aim is the same... take your hardearned money and enjoy their lives at our cost... taking the name of poor people and cheating everyone

I also got a call from these fraud people. This time for a girl admitted in Holy family Hospital. They said that the child is very serious and needs a few medication kits for 26000. When i called the hospital, they said that the baby is fine and not critical. the child is coping well to the treatment. These guys are faking the conditions and getting money for medical kits that even the doctor do not know. "There is no kit costing 26000 rs that is required for the treatment." is what the people said from the hospital.They are frauds who are collecting 10 times the treatment costs saying that money is still pending and enjoying their lives with our donated money. Be careful of these people. Don't fall into their trap.

Oh God... And i was thinking that they guys are genuine.. i was supposed to donate money today. Read these complaints at the right time.

It is goo to see so many people voicing their concerns... i'm sure that the police and people observing this forum will be taking action against these people very soon. Now i keep getting calls from other NGOs also, seems like these guys are all connected with each other and when you say no they will call you for a different case from a different NGO Name... the dialouges remain the same and the sms are the same.

I've filed a police complaint in delhi... they will be brought to justice for sure...

It is good to see everyone voicing there experiences as it helps many people from falling into these peoples carefully crafted lies and traps.

Do not donate to these people

This is really very sad. I too received the same call from the so called same organization seeking help and support for a child named Pihu claiming is in a critical condition in ICU. For treatment a medical kit is required of worth Rs.2175. I asked to share the case details with the proper documents but they couldn't provide it. Best I can guess is that those messages were system generated messages.
The number from which I received the call was [protected] and the website was www.onelifecare.org. There is no NGO registered with this name in Delhi working for children. This is a fraud NGO.
