[Resolved]  OneAssist Consumer Solutions — auto renewal process, even though asked for cancellation of services.

I have been a victim of one assist auto renewal process. When i took the credit card 3 years back, i was not even aware of such services linked to my account, till i check my credit card bill. And immediately i called them, and they told that amount can't be renewed please use the services for now and next year it can be cancelled. I don't know the renewal date of next year and i forgot that the next year and they have got deducted the amount again, where again i was forced to use the services of it. But this time i have informed them earlier in the month of jan and asked to cancel the services, they told it will get automatically ended after the expiration date, and then i have removed the cards from the account and closed it and not even checked my emails, as i have got a mail that cancellation service request is under process. But in the month of april in my credit card bill again there was a deduction. I called within 2-3 days of deduction and the same story they repeated, and forcing me to continue it. Even after talking to 6 of their executives, what they finally concluded is that, its my mistake of not calling them again and intimating to cancel the services. And finally i have asked them to cancel and refund the amount of 1399 which they have deducted. After a long conversation of 25 minutes the executive agreed
To refund an amount of 300 rupees out of 1399 deducted. One thing i understood is they won't refund the money. And second thing is, there is no security provided by hdfc on my account, as such third party organizations is granted access and can directly deduct the amount they want, with out any pin number or otp, or else that one assist team has all the sensitive information of my credit card, like cvv or else my pin and card details stored in their database.

This is the level of security providing by hdfc to their credit card customers. Great...!

One assist purely looting money from innocent customers.
