[Resolved] OneAssist Consumer Solutions — gadget service plan | |||
I had received a call from one assist as their existing customer to sell another plan wherein you cover gadgets at home. I was told i can cover upto 5 gadgets for 999. After listening to the benefits i agreed to buy the plan and had the online payment made. I received a call a week later to check on what gadgets i want to cover and gave the details on the brand which i want to cover and no other details were sought. After a week-ten days the details were visible on my app and all the details mentioned were wrong. Example i have a 43 inch led tv while it was mentioned 32-40 and likewise for other gadgets and all were wrong. These were never discussed and were added unilaterally by one-assist. I immediately called up and informed one assist and sought an explanation for the same. I was told a call back will be arranged. I got no call. I again called them up and i was told that the ranges mentioned were standard and will have no impact while services are rendered. I was not satisfied and asked them to put it in writing, which they refused. I understood it is a ploy to cheat the customers and immediately asked to cancel the plan and arrange for refund. The person person on the other end took the request and said someone from cancellation team will call up. When no one called up even after days passed i called up again and i was surprised when i got to know there was no cancellation request noted at their end. I again asked them to cancel immediately. The person took the request and said someone will call from the cancellation department. I informed the same thing had happened earlier and no one called. He promised this time someone will definitely call... After a week or so i did get a call and the person at other end wanted to know why i wanted to cancel... I gave the entire details... She said i need not cancel and she will arrange for the email from their end as per my request. I said ok... However no email was received and i again called them up and asked for immediate cancellation and again the request was taken... I again had to call back when there was no response and this time i got it cancelled on the call and i got an sms to the same effect. When i did not get the refund even days after cancellation, i called them up again today (20th aug 2019) and to my shock i was told i will not get refund as i cancelled after 15 days of my subscription. All this while this was not being informed and soon after cancellation this theory comes into picture... This is clear case of cheating and taking the customers for a ride.
