[Resolved]  Oyo Rooms — Multiple problems. Huge amount of money not refunded.

There are multiple problems with Oyo rooms.
I booked for 10 days in Oyo 378 Aira Apartments in Bangalore between 15 July 2022 and 25 July 2022. Booking ID: R6QA8527.

1. The hotel denied booking stating the reason that they have cut ties with Oyo. This should have been informed in advance either by Oyo or the hotel, but this is a surprise when I called hotel. Imagine travelling for many hours to a different city and finding that we dont have a place to stay.

2. I called Oyo support and requested to book me in different hotel. But the person I am talking to in customer support doesn't have a basic clue of how to book hotels. They said to be there are only 3 hotels available in entire Bangalore (where if I check the same from my side, I could see about 300 available to book). I could have continued staying with Oyo if not for clueless customer support. I requested cancellation and they initiated a full refund of the amount under the reason hotel denied the booking.

3. The refund of Rs. 14, 465 is stated to be refunded within 7-14 days which itself is a huge amount of time. But the cancellation is initiated on 15 Jul and even after more than 15 days, the refund is still not processed and credited in my account. This is categorized as financial fraud. No reply even after multiple chase ups through email. No option to check refund status through the useless chat app. No option to talk to customer care support about refunds (IVR only has booking option).

Basically, I availed zero service from Oyo, but having no way to get my own money back for the service that I did not avail. No other option to approach them unless through consumer forums.
