Oyo Rooms — oyo room booking declined by hotel | |||
Let me begin by saying that that this is the first and last time i will be booking an oyo room. My booking id[protected] booked for oyo 24988 samudra theeram hotel. I had booked two rooms for on 4th october to 6th october 2019. We have paid upfront to avoid any hassles. When we reached at the hotel the reception declined our booking request saying that they cannot give rooms booked via oyo since they have an issue with oyo since last 2 or 3 months and they aren't taking any booking. I had been arguing with them asking why then they are still there on oyo booking site if they have an issue or can't take booking through them. They were adamant stating that they have some sort o[censored]npaid amounts etc and hence can't provide the room. I was there with my family which includes my 4 month old baby and 76 year old father. Just imagine the situation. It was embarrassing. Everyone was cursing oyo for such a situation. I called oyo customer care but failed to connect with any of the representatives. Luckily the room was booked via agoda and unlike oyo they were professional and helped me within few minutes. They offered a full refund plus gift voucher or another accommodation nearby in 30mins. We chose for the refund and they provided it within 4 working days and had an international goodwill call as well to make sure that we are satisfied with their service. Later when i enquired further i came to know that there is discontent among many hoteliers with regards to oyo policies. Anyway thats not my concern but will make sure will discourage anyone known to me from booking an oyo room to avoid facing such pathetic situations Thank you Linoy tk Was this information helpful? | |||
