On Sun, Oct 11, 2:20 PM I did a hotel reservation for myself via booking.com app for "Capital O 2642 Golden Lakes Hotel" Listed under OYO for the duration of 11 Nights starting 12th October to 23rd October 2020
I checked in to the hotel at 12PM on 12th October, I was having a great stay at the hotel until 176h Oct when I had some emergency to checkout on very next day i.e. 17th October 11 AM
I Informed about this urgent checkout to the hotel manager and he suggested me to talk to the customer care of source of booking for any kind of modification in the stay, so I called the customer care via different mediums like chat, call and asked them to modify my reservation as I had some emergency, booking.com tried to contact oyo ( as listed as property owner) via email and call, they didn't received any approval till the time of my checkout from oyo hence they were unable to modify the bookings from their end, On 16th I also interacted with oyo customer care first with a guy who told me I can do checkout and I need to pay till 18th Oct and remaining day will be refunded, secondly to the girl who said that we don't have any authority so we can't do anything for you.
Till the time of my checkout I received no confirmation either from oyo or booking.com regarding my modification and I had to pay the entire amount ie 11303 Rupees to the hotel and had to leave.
Now When I approached booking.com for my refund( as I booked from booking.com) they mailed oyo for the same stating below message :
"Dear partner,
The guest Rahul has cancelled the reservation [protected] (check-in date[protected] on[protected].
As the guest stayed from 12-17.10.20 please process the refund of 5832.22 INR directly to the guest and send us a proof of refund within the next 5 business days.
"
In return oyo is not accepting it to refund the amount and keep on repeating me that we can't do anything you will get refund only from your source of booking
As I have paid to the hotel which is listed under oyo, the entire amount must be associated with oyo only, hence oyo is not taking the responsibility to return the amount, also they didnt responded to my original source of booking since 16th october which shows how negligent they are to keep communication with the partner
