Passport Issue — Police verification report pending

I have applied passport on feb, 2017. As per the requirement, i have submitted all the required documents to the dib office burdwan on march. After 15 days i went there as online status was still showing police verification pending. They informed me that they sent the file to kolkata passport office. Now 20 days have been passed. The online status of my passport is still unchanged-"status pending for physical police verification at respective thana under commissioner of police, district bardhaman".

I cant able to understand weather police has really sent the verification report or not.
Kindly look into this matter and solve this issue at earliest.
