Passport Office Bangalore — non clearance of present address

Hi,
I am applying for passport from psk marathahalli, but the employees there are not accepting my application by giving reason that i live in the pg (Paying guest hostel) which is not valid. I am living in the pg since 2015. The psk employee is asking me to change the present address but it's very difficult for a girl to rent an apartment on such a short notice and i am afraid they will still hold my application even after changing the present address on some other issue.
Please help me with this issue.
