Paypal — claim declined by paypal on account of subscription charges auto remitted to freelancer.com without my consent

I had reported an unauthorized transaction on 3rd of oct to paypal owing to a charge o[censored]sd $11.01 that equates to inr 848.70 in favor of freelancer.com made through paypal.

But this transaction was auto initiated without my consent. I had created a profile on freelancer.com on 3rd sep out of curiosity to find work outside my usual business commitments. I was never interested in signing up for a paid membership with freelancer. I was not aware of the process that there is an initial trail period post which charges are applicable outside the one month trial window. Without my consent this transaction has been initiated by paypal in favor of freelancer.com.

I raised a dispute on paypal (Asking them to reverse the charges back to my account.

They washed their hands off stating that i need to work this out with the seller (Freelancer.com/ [protected]@freelancer.com). I contacted the seller and raised an incident. I also visited freelancer.com and cancelled my subscription with them.

Later that day freelancer.com reversed the applicable subscription charges and initiated a refund. There is a chargeback claim for my deposits made in favor of freelancer.com through paypal. Hence the refund is kept on hold until the chargeback claim is revoked or cancelled by paypal.com.

I have been following up with paypal on this but they don't seem to be bothered. They are citing that this transaction wasn't unauthorized and hence it is not covered under buyer protection and therefore they are unable to process a refund.

But presently paypal is not willing to credit this amount back to my linked icici bank debit card/savings account because the chargeback claim is still active on their systems.

Also after inquiring with the cs teams, they are simply playing around wasting my time stating lousy reasons that that i need to waith for as long as 30 days since i have already filed a dispute, therefor i need to wait until paypal team decided the outcome of the case.

I have also verified my kyc details for accepting any remittance both national or international.

Today i got an email stating that my claim is denied by paypal and these are not un-authorized charges.

I fail to understand what nonsense is happening here?
They are simply beating around the bush wasting my time.

I just need to know in simple terms if i will get by refund back or not in my linked bank account? And they are hellbent on making a spectacle of this matter.

The most unprofessional online payment platform that i have fallen prey to.
