[Resolved] Pepperfry — Holding of refund amount for long time and poor customer service | |||
Hi, I had placed an order with Pepperfry having the order #[protected]. The order was delivered damaged and hence the product has been returned immediately during the time of delivery. I have raised a request for refund of the amount and it has been promised by the company. It has been almost a month that I am following up the case with them but they are citing excuse of system upgrade. Why does a refund take too long for a company? This is a smart way of holding a customer's money and play around in the market. This practice is highly condemned and I urge consumer court to punish such companies for such illegal practice. I have received an e-mail which confirms that the refund as been initiated from them and would be credited to the same account by 5 working days. Appreciate this Pepperfry but in future, please be customer friendly. Pepperfry customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. I received a call from Pepperfry customer support and they are asking my card details for refund. Well, I do have objection to share the details of a card over phone as this is a security threat involved with it. If I get an e-mail from Pepperfry, then I shall share the details. When the person says that they will initiate the refund now itself, then why it has not been done so far? This is a clear indication that they are holding a customer's money and invest in market.
