My name is Pargat Singh I have qualified M . Phill Computer Science under Distance Education of Periyar University in 2008 . My Enrollment No 06DCCC4235 and Centre Code 1309, UTS(P) Ltd. Patiala Institute of Management Technology, Patiala Punjab. i paid 150/- dated on[protected] in SBI Sardulgarh branch. DD No. 629084. I received all original Marks statements only. I send letters to controller of exams and Director but iam not received any thing till now.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I appeared for B.com examination in May 2010 and cleared the all the examination now its 1 and half have been passed I have not received my bachelor degree yet. Now whereever I am going for employment employers asking me degree certificate which I do not have. Due to this I cannot do any thing.

Thus kindly have a look in this matter on priority and resolve it.

KASARGOD: An educational racket is thriving in the state making use of the facilities offered by the UGC-recognised Periyar University in Tamil Nadu.� The programme is for the failed students to enable them to get degree certificates from a UGC-recognised university.
Several study centres which had mushroomed across the state are fleecing the aspiring students exacting a huge amount from them.
The usual fees demanded by the Periyar University for various courses is between Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000, but the study centres collect Rs 16,000 to Rs 35,000. Curiously, 95 percent of the students who appeared for the examination would pass.
The students would be given study materials one month or 15 days before the commencement of the examination covering 15 to 18 papers. In normal case, a failed student who had studied another syllabus for three years would find it hard to grasp the study materials.
But the study centres which collected huge amounts from the students would help them pass the examination. Since no invigilator from the Periyar University would be present at the examination centres in the state, the responsibility of conducting the examinations is vested with the study centres or their franchises.
The printed question and answer papers would be made available to the students before the examination. The students need only to copy the printed answers in their answer sheets.
Various study centres that enroll students for the Periyar University make Rs 25 lakh to Rs 2 crore annually, said C T Abdul Gafoor, an educational activist of� Malappuram.
He said this sort of racket and examination malpractices could not be carried on without the support of the officials of the Periyar University.
Abdul Gafoor said the MS University in Tamil Nadu had also indulged in such malpractices before, but the racket was put to an end by the UGC by withdrawing its recognition.
The degree certificates given by such universities in Tamil Nadu would not be acceptable in Kerala. The universities in the state used to reject such degree certificates for further studies.
But the certificates would be accepted for jobs in private companies or in some foreign countries. The certificates would also be accepted for higher studies in Tamil Nad

i'm studied in periyar university under affiliated college, i finished my 3 year course in periyar university under guidance college. last July 24 was published our results. in that results i have a one withheld paper so i given complaint letter to university also but yet did't take any kinds of action. i did't continue my higher studies and also my carrier.i want my withheld results. so sir / madam please take action as soon as possible.. all student join a college and join job except me and few students.the few students r not receive sixth semester mark list also.

NOTE: This month only last chance to join my higher studies. i miss this chance means my one year is going to wast... Respected sir / madam please take action for this problem. For this problem affecting more number of student so please consider all student future. take action quickly sir / madam.

Incomplete Marksheet
DearSir/Madam,

I have appeared for BBA in Dec 2010-11from Periyar University of Distance Education (PRIDE) but the result displayed on the website is incomplete.Also on calling the PRIDE office there is no proper response received..
Learning center is also not informed of the cause behind the reason for not displaying complete results.
I want to pursue further studies and I m worried for the same.
There are many more students like me facing the same problem.
Request you to please look into this and take necessary actions ASAP.

I, Anil kumar got registered in distance education institute of periyar university for my degree of M.A Education in 2008 With regd no:08LCPED1054 and appeared in exam in 2009 Enrolment no: LC8PED 12210018. Mr. Rakesh Bansal from Jagadhri was co-ordinator here. Still' I haven't got my comlete result. Mr. Bansal says my one paper is not being located by university, thereafter he doesn't respond.
I'm not able to proceed further on any due advantage of degree.
Please help me in providing my comlete result.

i appeared for M.phil Chem in august 2007. i have recieved the duplicate mark sheet issued by study centre only not the original marksheet. moreover the result of disertation is not yet declared . i have contacted the study centre many times but they are very rude and making excuses. 3 years have been past and still the mark sheet and degree is not recieved . i hv sent two times the report of my guide to them but they are saying its not recieved . kindly take the neceesary action and issue the degree as soon as possible. Periyar University (PRIDE) started M Phil degree in distance mode through Darwin School of Business in Guwahati. They have taken the fees, conducted the Exams, declared the results but never gave Marksheets and certificates to many students. Even after 3 years. The results for 2006-07 was declared long ago. Darwin School Business, who seems to have equal share in the fraud says they are no longer dealing with PRIDE and keeps saying that the university has not send the documents. And Periyar University has shut down their website for along time. Now they have given some email IDs for contact where mails always bounce and some phone numbers which are never picked up. Even in their student service pages nothing can be tracedd by submitting the enrolmant number or registration number....

I have joined in the B.A. History in 2001 batch at PRIDE. Because of the some reason I could not complete the 2 papers in the final semester. Last 3 times I am applying for the exam through the CSI study centre.
First time the time table and hall ticket not produced.
Second time the time table and hall ticket came. But while I am waiting in the exam hall (AVS college,
Salem) they said that they didn’t received the question paper. And I informed to study centre. They given Controller telephone number and I called him and he said that we will conduct the exam in another day. Because only one student. But the exam result also came. But they didn’t conduct the exam sir.
So I am applied for this time. This time also time table not yet received. I contacted to study centre. They said that to approach you directly. But I could not able to go there now. Because now I am in Kannur, Kerala and I have some personal problem also sir. I would like to get this B.A. History degree Sir. Please help me to write the exam.

I have inquired with my Guide he told I have sent to University.Pl check up with university. Kindly take necessary action and do the needful as soon as earliest.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have to say this with an utter dismay that after writing the M.Phil (Computer Science) exams in August 2008, the marksheets are not yet received to my study centre, SSK College(www.sskcollege.com), Anna Salai, Chennai. I have called the study centre many a times and their standard reply over phone is "WE HAVE WRITTEN TO THE UNIVERSITY AND WILL RECEIVE IT BY THE END OF THIS MONTH!!".

I find that joining periyar university,salem through distance education is the biggest mistake that I have made in my educational career. It is like a wait and watch game for receiving the result and marksheet and still nothing happens. If this is the case, I wonder when will the provisional/degree certificate(s) will be received??????

I lodge a complaint in the comsumer forum for the university to take prompt and timely action in this regard as many students like me are sailing in the same boat.

I hope and trust that someone in this forum is listening and will take speedy action in this regard.

periyar university distance education is very worst. marksheet for every semester is send after 1 year from the date of result publishing.
the result is only send through study center not in website. the student dont anything about the result.
the provision ceritificate and consolidate marksheet also not send the study center. if the students go directly the controller of examination not treat respect. simple go to enquiry. after completion of 1 and half year consolidate marksheet not send. directly go to university they simply said send by post. but they will not send. i think degree certificate has come 5 years from the course completion.
plz ake any action against the unoiversity a or simply cose the distance education.

I am chitra i am doing MBA at periyar university through pride study centre chennai. I paid three semester fees so far. i Changed my study centre from pollachi to chennai. But after that one year was over still now i am not getting any response from the centre as well as from the university. I dont know what to do. can i go to court and file a case againt them.

i have discontinued and re joined with university permisson at 2007 in the same college and i have studied
and writtened all exams and finished my degree but still now i dint get the mark sheets so many times i went to university salem and wrote a complaint for the past one year still now i dint get the marks and mark sheets they are not responding my letters and my words so i cannot fullfill my further studies so i kindly request you issue all my results and certificates
